Email us and a person handles the rest.
Everything this site does can be done without it. Email office@leatherrestorepro.com, say what the piece is and what is wrong with it, and we will arrange the quote and the visit with you directly. Photos help, but if taking or sending them is hard, tell us and we will work it out another way.
What we aim for
WCAG 2.2 at level AA, checked on the live site.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. We do not claim full conformance, because the issues listed below are still open. We test the pages as visitors actually receive them, not just the templates.
What we checked, and what passed
Seven live pages, audited on October 1, 2026.
We checked the home page, the services and furniture hubs, the three legal pages and the error page.
- PassEvery page declares its language, so screen readers use the right voice.
- PassPinch and browser zoom are never blocked.
- PassEvery page has a “skip to content” link, and the place it jumps to exists.
- PassEach page has exactly one main heading, and heading levels never skip.
- PassEvery image has alternative text. Purely decorative photos are marked so screen readers pass over them.
- PassText on plain backgrounds meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio on every page we checked.
- PassOn the legal pages, text over photos was measured against the lightest part of each photo, not guessed.
- PassThe menu opens and closes from the keyboard, and links show a visible focus outline.
- PassNo element IDs are repeated on a page.
Known issues
Three problems we found ourselves and are fixing.
- FixingMost pages have no “main” landmark, so screen-reader users cannot jump straight to the main content that way. The skip link still works.
- FixingOn light backgrounds, the dark red pill buttons, such as “Free Estimate” in the header, show a white focus outline that is hard to see.
- FixingThe logo link in the header is announced as “Chicago” instead of naming the home page.
When one of these is fixed, it moves to the list above and the date at the top changes.
What this site does not use
No overlays, no puzzles, nothing that moves on its own.
There is no accessibility overlay widget, no CAPTCHA or puzzle to solve, no video or sound that starts by itself, and no timer that logs you out. Overlays often get in the way of the screen readers they claim to help, so we fix the pages instead.
Pages we do not control
Links that leave this site are outside this statement.
Some links lead to our New York site, leatherrestorepro.com, or to other companies. Those sites have their own accessibility work and their own statements.
