You, Us and the Household

High end furniture repair Chicago households ask for usually reaches us through someone else: a concierge, an estate manager or a personal assistant. You remain the point of contact while we carry the job.

You

Take the request

  • Forward the photos
  • Tell us where and how to get in
  • Pick a time that suits the household
Us

Handle the rest

  • A price in writing up front
  • Scheduling with the building or staff
  • The repair itself, done on site
Your client

Sees the result

  • No new vendor to manage
  • No calls to return
  • The furniture simply looks right

Leather That Forgives Nothing

Premium leather shows any clumsy fix. We identify the hide first, then blend tone, texture and gloss until the repair is invisible.

AnilineNo protective coat. It drinks in color, so a repair must not show.

Semi-anilineA light topcoat that has to be rebuilt layer by layer.

NubuckA brushed nap that marks easily and needs specialist care.

Full-grainIts aged character stays; we never sand it off.

Four Marks We Lift From Aniline

Aniline has no coating to wipe clean, so ordinary life leaves a trace. These are the marks we are called about most.

Discretion by Default

A private home is not a portfolio. We hold ourselves to the standard set by the hotel concierges of Les Clefs d’Or.

  • One contact from first photo to finished job
  • Nothing about the home posted or published
  • Visits timed around household staff and the client's calendar
  • Work done while the home is empty, if you arrange access

High End Furniture Repair Chicago FAQ

Working on a whole room rather than one piece? See our interior designer program.

    Send Photos
Do you deal with our clients directly?

That is your choice. Unless you say otherwise, every update comes to you and the household never has a new name to remember.

Can you repair designer and European furniture?

Yes. Italian, French and Scandinavian designer pieces are everyday work for us, in aniline, semi-aniline, nubuck and full-grain hides.

Can the work be done while the client is away?

Often that is easiest. If you or the building can let us in, the repair can be finished before the family is back.

Do you work in the suburbs and second homes?

Yes. Chicago and the suburbs, including houses that open for the season.

    What does it cost?

We price each piece from your photos and put the figure in writing; nothing starts until you approve it. Send them to office@leatherrestorepro.com or use the form.
